Low-Cost Therapy
email: Therapy@ClaudiaMegele.com
Psychotherapy can be life-changing, and I believe that cost should never be a barrier to good mental health. Everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality psychological support – regardless of their financial circumstances.
Mental health is not a luxury. It is fundamental to wellbeing, dignity, and the ability to live a meaningful and connected life. Yet for many people, the cost of therapy can feel out of reach at the very moment it is most needed.
For this reason, I offer a limited number of low-cost therapy sessions for individuals who may not otherwise be able to access private therapy. These sessions are offered with the same care, professionalism, and commitment as my standard practice.
What is low-cost therapy
Low-cost therapy refers to psychotherapy sessions offered at a significantly reduced fee – and in some cases at no cost – to support access to mental health care where finances are a major obstacle.
The offer of low-cost therapy is grounded in my belief that psychological support should not be available only to those who can afford standard private fees. Providing low-cost sessions is part of my wider ethical commitment to inclusion, fairness, and care.
Places are limited, and availability depends on current capacity.
Fees and session structure
My regular fee is £80 per session. However, a limited number of low-cost therapy sessions are offered at significantly reduced fees and, in some cases, at no cost.
The specific arrangement is discussed carefully and respectfully, taking individual circumstances into account. There is no hierarchy of care between fee levels: all sessions are offered with the same professional standards and therapeutic attention.
Who low-cost therapy may be suitable for
Low-cost therapy may be appropriate if you are experiencing financial pressures or instability, particularly if you are also:
-
Going through a period of emotional difficulty, loss, or transition;
-
Struggling with anxiety, low mood, or relationship difficulties;
-
Unable to access timely support through other services;
-
Wanting to explore therapy but unsure whether private fees are possible.
You do not need to have everything “worked out” before getting in touch. Part of the process is thinking together about what support may be possible and appropriate.
How the process works
-
You make an enquiry using the contact form below
-
Your message is read carefully and confidentially
-
If appropriate, an initial conversation is offered to explore your situation and whether a low-cost place is available
-
Together, we consider next steps and what feels manageable
Please note that low-cost places are limited, and not all enquiries can be accommodated immediately.
A note on confidentiality and respect
All enquiries are treated with care, confidentiality, and respect. Asking about low-cost therapy does not require justification or eaxplanation beyond what feels comfortable for you.
